alright, be ready for some flexing!! (i apologize in advance haha)
so basically, i speedrun the original Super Mario Bros. it's a funny hobby, but it has taken me quite far - I've beaten the game in 4 minutes 55 seconds and 713 milliseconds, which is the 23rd fastest time in the world! It's a very impressive run, featuring flagpole glitches, pipe clips, wall clips, walljumps, and other crazy stuff. I'm very proud of the run but I know I could definitely do better. I've also achieved some other crazy stuff in SMB1, such as a 6th place time in the 8-4 IL category (which is an individual level speedrun of the final level, 8-4) of 44.277 seconds, which, believe it or not, is only three frames away from tying the TAS in 8-4. I know!! so close!! I've also crashed the game in 46.424 seconds (third place), beaten the game glitchless in 5m 03s 350ms (tenth place) and beaten the FDS version of the Minus World in 2m 31s and 867ms (tied 12th place). so yeah!! pretty impressive stuff!! you can check out my speedrunning stuff here!
Minecraft is a pretty cool game :3
I've played it ever since I was about 6 years old, and i've always come back to the game since its just really great. when I was 8 i built this really big base/city thing in minecraft, it had skyscrapers, pools, hotels, theaters, everything, and then one day it just disappeared!! so that's fun :) more recently I built this massive city on a public server. it's probably my favourite minecraft build i've ever made - it had a really detailed clock tower, a big beach area, shops, a bank and a few other things, but I ended up just abandoning it and now the server's reset so i only have like a couple screenshots of it. oh yeah, more recently i've been making this really pretty cherry biome city with a japanese inspiration and i'm really proud of it.
oh yeah, back in 2022 i used to play on Hypixel a lot. i was such a sweat on it, like there were days where I would get up to 200 wins in duels, in a single DAY. I ended up totalling 3000-ish wins in hypixel duels. I also got some pretty good stats in skywars and bedwars too, but I never really played them as much. I rarely do minecraft pvp anymore tho cause of wifi issues and cause I grew out of it.
one of my favourite games i like to play as a pastime is Cities Skylines (i should clarify the first version, not the second). it caters to me in the same way that minecraft does, where it's kinda just a game where i can relax and create something i'm really proud of. it's quite funny, cause all of my cities turn out to be perfect grids no matter the terrain, like you could see me building a perfectly gridded city in the Himalayas.
a lot of my early cities were kinda crappy, like genuinely not fun to live in. I remember the first city I made that i was really proud of was called Freyberg, it had a population of 160,000, a decent skyline surrounding a harbour and a cool airport. ever since then, a few notable cities i've made are, in order, Norfolk Bay (population of 35,000), New Zealand (population of 120,000, literally on a map of NZ), and Japan (population of 90,000, on a map of Japan). i tend to play cities skylines whenever i'm heavily stressed out and just wanna relax - i know playing styles for this game vary heavily between people, my kind is just casual play with tons and tons of mods.
I'm gonna list a bunch of other games here that I like to play, but don't really play as often as the others I've listed here.
